When was the last time you did something for yourself? Just for fun.
Not on your way to an errand. Not at the same time you were doing something for someone else.
For you. Just you.
What did you do?
Tomorrow night I am having a happy hour with Aunt Bob. We used to do it once a week, and I'd like to make it a habit again.
It's just for fun. It's just for us.
(I don't mean "just for us" as in "you can't come" - because you should totally come - but as in "simply for ourselves." For us, not for our families or our jobs or our [insert other obligation here].)
Now, I just need to work on not feeling guilty about it. Because not only is it fun, it is necessary.
And you should totally come. Especially if you can't think of anything in answer to that first question.

I made myself a martini, like, 3 seconds ago. Can I still come to happy hour? (Actually, I can't b/c I have a date tomorrow night ... unless it gets canceled or I get stood up. Again.)
Have fun! Drink many happy beverages!
*smooches*
Weekly bellydance classes. Yes I look ridiculous, but they're a lot of fun and it gets me moving. Tom has just learned to expect that I'm gone one night a week and he needs to accommodate that.
I wish!!
I did take a photography workshop a month ago that was INCREDIBLE!!
Have fun!!
Tonight I am having drinks and dinner with some old friends. I dont do it nearly enough. Sometimes I think I spend so much time taking care of other people and things I dont even know what I want to do for myself. Sad.
Well, um, let's see. Last night I went to bed at 5:00 to try and get rid of this cold I have. The Husband did dinner and bedtime stuff so I could sleep. Does that count?
Happy hour? Where? When? I wanna come...if I can.
1) I went to wine country and spent obscene amounts of money on food and wine.
2) Send me updates. Plan some out my way.
Much appreciate your blog post
