Lula Needs to Lay Off the Long Weekend Benders

A weekend of hard partying has finally caught up with Lula. She's sick.

The poor thing has a runny nose and a little cough. She sounds congested. She didn't sleep much last night (so neither did Bump or I) and will nurse, but resists the bottle. I hope Bump doesn't have a completely miserable day with her.

I'm sure it's just a cold, but I'm still worried about her.

Maybe she shouldn't have stayed up so late playing poker after the Goon Squad playdate on Friday. Perhaps we should have insisted she wear her hat at the park party on Saturday, instead of giving up when she indicated she would rather be bare-headed like all the cool kids.

I should have taken the day off yesterday so she didn't have to go to music class with Lumpyhead. I ought not allow her out of the house again. From this day forward, I promise never to bring germs into the house with me.

Or maybe I should relax, count my blessings that Lumpyhead, Bump and I don't seem to be exhibiting symptoms, and drink some orange juice so Lula gets a little more Vitamin C.

And maybe you had to be there, but this picture cracks me up every time I look at it. Thanks Sarah.

I'm just digging the Dead Kennedys shirt, dude.

Saline solution for the snotty nose always worked wonders for us. And I could gold medal if snot-sucker-ing ever becomes an Olympic event. But perhaps that is more than you wanted to know about me.

Bringing germs in the house with you again, LHM?! What were you thinking!

Wow, is that a picture of what I missed at poker on Friday? That bums me out! I love a dude in a Dead Kennedys shirt enjoying a 40.

Seriously, I'm extra glad I backed out, because I was SO. SICK. this weekend. Way more icky symptoms than you describe Lula having ... so best that I didn't share them with the room.

Thanks again for asking, though. Y'all will have to wait until next time to take my money. :)

Signed,
The Babysitter

Hmm, if you want to make good on never bringing germs into the house, you might need to change jobs. Seems like you come into contact with some iffy characters in your line of work.

Yep. That is the father of my children.

I think Lula feels rough because of this sort of behavior.

HEY! I've had that exact same guy over at my house a few times (literally). He's a character. You've got to watch out when he's around, he gets in the kitchen and forces you to over eat!
