Lumpyhead probably watches too much TV. He asks for specific shows, his latest obsession being Toy Story.
He doesn't ask for the movie by name, rather he makes his request using the characters in it. He started by asking for "Woody, and Woody's Hat, and Buzz Lightyear." (I don't know how Woody's hat became its own character, but it always has been.)
Then the list began expanding. "Woody and Woody's Hat and Buzz Lightyear and Mr. Potato Head." (Fine, he has a Mr. Potato Head toy, so it's not a big surprise that Lumpyhead focused on that.)
"Woody and Woody's Hat and Buzz Lightyear and Mr. Potato Head and Jessie and Jessie's Hat." That would be a request for the sequel.
It's getting out of control. This morning Lumpyhead asked for "Woody and Woody's Hat and Buzz Lightyear and Mr. Potato Head and Jessie and Jessie's Hat and Slinky Dog."
I walked out of the room at the start of his request to get something. When I came back, he was still talking.

Hysterical. Zoe is in the "too much tv" boat too. She's watching Wiggles right now. We haven't done Toy Story yet... but for a while she requested to see "the lions" whenever she wanted Lion King.
I am TOTALLY going to wear a hat this weekend!
when my step son was around 3 he had a MAJOR meltdown in Target cause he lost Woody's Hat. That hat was SO important..Woody came everywhere with us and for him to loose the hat OMG...
Now it's legos...but the itsy bitsy pieces. He had a cow cause we lost the Star War characters hand..we ended up pulling out the back seat...
That is too cute!
Very cute. My now 4yo is a chatterbox as well. He talked the entire 3 mile drive from the house to the daycare center this morning. He's also had the habit of asking for movies (yeah too much tv in my house too). Toy Story is always "Buzz". Was really hard to distinguish 1 & 2 there for a while. The twins recently saw Zathura on cable and picked the most minor of characters and want the "Lisa" movie.
My daughter doesn't do that. She just changes her mind a lot about what show she wants to see. "Dora!...Wiggles!...Hello Kitty!...Planets!"(the last one being either Baby Galileo or the episode of Blue's Clues where someone sings a song about the solar system).
I can't count how many times we watched Toy Story (Eric's favorite, Justin liked Peter Pan). BTW - Eric still talks non-stop!
My brother is darn near thirty and um, hearts ALLLLL those characters. He would get the ramble.
We watch to much TV too. Right now, we watch the Nightmare before Xmas over and over and over. So much I am singing Mr Oogy Boogy man in my head while I brush my teeth. It's THAT bad.
